반야월역은 대구선로 역사로 1932년 건립되었다가 2008년 폐역되고 도시계획에 따라 아파트가 건립되면서 2010년 대구시 동구 신서동 823-25번지로 이전되었다. 구조는 목조트러스조로 지붕 'T'자 형태로 삼각형 박공지붕면이 건물의 중심이 아닌 한쪽에 치우쳐 상징적으로 돌출되어 있다. 이전 복원된 폐역은 작은 도서관으로 활용되고 있다.

The building was established in 1932 as a railroad station for Daegu Line. Since its abandonment in 2008, the station was relocated to 823-25, Sinseo-dong, Dong-gu, Daegu in 2010 in accordance with apartment construction under urban planning. The structure is wooden truss with ‘T’ shaped roof. The triangular gable roof is tilted to one site and its projection serves as the building’s symbol. The relocated station is now used as a small regional library.
